Eight common misconceptions about sex

We all get lots of contradictory, and sometimes just plain wrong, information about sex from various media, friends and family. This article delves into eight of the most common misconceptions about sex, and de-bunks them.

For example, how many times have you heard that sex is something that comes naturally, and you should just "know" how to do it, and do it well? "When the time comes, you'll know ..." and similar messages are heard quite often in our society. As this article points out, though, why are we taught so thoroughly how to do complicated things like drive, read and write, but not how to have sex?

If you're interested in our perspective on breaking through lots of common myths about sexuality, please check out our article, "The Path to Healthy Sexuality".
