Dear Aphrodite & Dr. Myrtle, Help! I'm a woman, and I think I wet my bed during sexual play, but my girlfriend says I ejaculated. When my partner was stimulating me with a battery-operated vibrator, she hit a spot. I thought I had urinated in the bed. Needless to say, I was embarrassed. She said that I had ejaculated! I couldn't believe it. I've never experienced anything like that before. Please help!
First off, you should know that many women release a great deal of fluid during sexual play, so you are not strange or odd in any way! We have women come into the store asking for advice on how to ejaculate. There is even a movie entitled "How to Female Ejaculate". Certain stimulation, for some women, produces an expulsion of fluid from the urethral sponge (the female prostate). Because this tissue is prostate tissue, it does have "prostate specific antigen" or PSA, and is chemically different than urine. Having said that, urine can come out with intense sexual pleasure for some women, particularly when they have a full bladder. Some women have told me that it is a wildly pleasurable experience. We find it fascinating, and knowing that it is associated with deep pleasure can make it a pleasurable experience for their partners. Our advice to you is this:
- Urinate before sexual intimacy - that way the fluid is more likely to be completely ejaculate, and less copious.
- Have a thick towel folded beneath you so that you don't worry about wetting the sheets.
- Then allow yourself to really let go and enjoy!
It is nothing to be ashamed or embarrassed about. A little preparation will allow you to feel more intense pleasure - and that's what's important! Thanks for your question.
