We often rent this movie in our store to people who are curious about erotic videos, have never seen one before, yet want to see explicit acting in the context of a story. This is the erotic video version of the story of Scheherazade and the 1001 Arabian Nights, which, after all, was originally an erotic story. This video was originally filmed in the 80s, but doesn't appear too dated since it is done in period costume. A happy ending, with some electric sex scenes. Highly recommended.

This film could have focused solely on the stories told by Scheherazade, but then it would have been nothing more than a loop carrier. What sets 1001 Erotic Nights apart is the effort expended on the introduction and on the interaction (mostly non-explicit) between the two main stars as she tells the tales. The vignettes themselves vary greatly in quality, but fortunately the longer ones are the better ones. There's even a touch of humor!
