Also know by the manufacturer's name of "Share", this is a very different double from the others that we carry. Daphne & Velma (brownie points if you can figure out where the names come from) is a good choice for bigger women who don't want to lose part of the external length to their body size, and it offers an excellent flat surface that will rub against the whole vulva when the dildo is being used. We definitely recommend using this with a harness - it just isn't worth trying to concentrate on keeping it in place rather than concentrating on your partner's pleasure. This is a softer feeling silicone than the Kate & Allie or Cagney & Lacey, and a firmer silicone than the Betty & Veronica or Thelma & Louise.
The portion that is worn is definitely wider than any of the other doubles that we carry. The dimensions of the toy are:
- Overall length: 16"
- Penetrative length for the wearer: 4 1/2"
- Penetrative length for the person being penetrated: 6"
- Width for the wearer: 1 3/4" and very round, so will feel quite filling, tapering to 1" at the base
- Width for the penetrative end: tapers from 1 3/8" to 1 7/8" at the base

I tried it first with the thong harness I bought at the same time and also love…very nice not to have to fumble with a bunch of floppy straps. This toy is not well-designed for a retaining ring, so aside from the fact that there is not a significant "lip" to catch the ring (and what is there seems to be designed to encourage one to slip up and off), it costs a good chunk of the external length and base girth to use one. I know AWT doesn't sell metal rings for safety purposes…but rubber rings stretch with rougher thrusting, and it eventually pulled right through. It will work better when I switch for a metal ring, I think…but anything big enough not to lose the length and thickness at the base, will slip right off the top, I'm pretty sure. Maybe Fun Factory will design a specialty harness for it. Or hell…maybe I will. :-} In the meantime, if I find a really functional solution for using it with one, I'll let you know.
Without the harness, it's probably not suitable for extremely active thrusting, but I just crossed my ankles, closed my thighs and let my partner straddle my legs. The results were very nearly a religious experience on both ends. It's very well designed for internal stimulation, and the deep flat front not only makes it FEEL like a natural part of my body, it provides a great deal of external stimulation that other strap-on equipment I've tried lacks. And for the same reason, it turned out to be pretty effective for solo play as well. The direct effect of the external dildo movements on the clitoris…the whole vulva really…was actually a bit of a mind-bender for someone who doesn't typically think about gender in a fluid way. It FELT like part of my body. That has to be as close as a woman can come to feeling like she has an actual cock, inside and out.
Compared to the Feeldoe (Cagney & Lacey or Kate & Allie): Daphne & Velma has a softer, more realistic skin feel; the internal portion is more naturally shaped, better curved, and longer for more effective internal stimulation; and the external portion provides more contact and stimulation to the wearer by far. The Feeldoe is somewhat easier to use in a harness though, and comes in more sizes.
The Share is hands down the new favorite toy in my toybox…and definitely the one I'd choose if I wanted it to feel like "part" of me.

Cleaning Instructions: Clean with soapy warm water. Sterilize by soaking in a solution of 1 part bleach:10 parts water for 15 minutes, or non-diluted Hydrogen Peroxide for 20 minutes, or non-diluted Rubbing Alcohol for 10 minutes. This item can also be cleaned in the top rack of a dishwasher, although this will not sterilize the item.
Special Instructions: Use with water-based lubricants only, as silicone-based lubricants will damage this item's surface.
