Men's and women's bodies and cancers are dealt with pretty much equally, making the information applicable to any cancer survivior. While most of the language is aimed toward heterosexual folks, the information is useful for anyone dealing with cancer. In addition, there are specific parts at the end of the book aimed toward Gay and Lesbian Cancer Survivors, as well as Single Cancer Survivors.
