DVD only.From the creators of Urban Friction and Ecstatic Moments, this film consists of a series of vignettes depicting solo sex, mutual masturbation, and women in power and control of their sexual experiences. Each scene is about 15 minutes in duration, so it's all action. There aren't any real "stories" per se; rather, you join these women in a variety of locations and approaches to consensual practices. All of the women in the video have real bodies and real orgasms. They are very comfortable with themselves and maintain control of their bodies while exploring and loving.
These women also come prepared into each scene with tools, toys and props on-hand. Since the filming approach is to, quite literally, take you with them through their levels of pleasure and discovery, the manipulation of certain shots can sometimes be distracting or disassociating (i.e. obscure camera angles, focus on one body part while another is being stimulated, "screen waves" during orgasm). However, it is one reviewer's opinion that the filmmakers' intentions are satisfied as the women enjoy themselves as they want to.
In "Lulu Deconstructs Her Dream House," Lulu works on the rehabilitation of an old house and takes a break to pleasure herself. It's always good to see a woman who comes prepared to the job site! It's a rough environment for some to consider pleasuring themselves, but Lulu seems quite content on a five-gallon bucket in her tool belt and work boots.
"Spring Sublet" takes place in the windy city of Chicago as a young woman finds a well-stocked apartment to relax and enjoy herself in. She is a well-prepared gal who carries a toy in her purse, and she has no problem getting right down to business in her new sublet, going from the bedroom (where she watches some of Urban Friction) right to the tub.
"Goddess Room Service" starts with nice black and white shots of nipple play and goes into the spoiled socialite's demands upon her "butler." There are what seems like flashback scenes crossing in and out of their interactions, but the limited dialogue doesn't really explain what is fantasy or past. She's in control of everything going on and he humbly grants her requests or, rather, demands. A mutual masturbation scene depicts her at the center of attention (and, coincidentally, the bed) as he watches and pleasures himself alongside her. One reviewer found some of the sound effects a bit strange and distracting.
"A Lawyer Joke" is aptly titled as a recently divorced woman takes the matter of her poorly handled divorce into her own hands. Though the acting isn't Oscar-worthy, the pun is literally depicted as she "screws her lawyer." She penetrates the man with a strap-on dildo and he ends up ejaculating onto her chest (this film shot is captured in slow-motion and held for a few moments). The courtesy clean-up was appreciated by one reviewer.
"Performance Piece" is more of a sharing monologue from self-proclaimed prostitute and performance artist Veronica Monet. She finds spirituality in her pleasure and shares her first sexual experiences and influences from her upbringing that are open, honest and rather comforting. The split-screen shots of her talking and masturbating are hot and slow and it is clear she is in control of her body and enjoys pleasuring herself.
In "Showgirl" a mousy accountant-by-day comes home and becomes a voyeuristic exhibitionist via her webcam. This is a true display of exhibitionism as she enjoys watching herself on her monitor, a high-tech realm of reflection. With the music and technology, this vignette was quite the piece of techno masturbation, enhanced by some costume accessories and nipple/clit clamps.
The extras index has one more vignette entitled "Sophie and Margo Redux" that is a hot, yet sweet, scene of two women making love. A nice closing scene worth watching to conclude an array of women loving themselves and having control over how and where their bodies are pleasured.
