This volume contains a diverse range of erotic stories, and would be great for someone who wants a little bit of (almost) everything. Most of the stories are plot-driven, so it's a great choice for readers who like their eroticism within the context of a plot (anyone who wants just sex scenes should look elsewhere). Some stories are serious, and others are laced with humor. Many of the plots have to do with desire, and specifically desiring someone for an extended period of time and finally getting to be with her. This does not by any means describe all of the stories, but it's a theme that occurs often enough to be noticeable. It's also safe to say that there are quite a few butch/femme pairings. There are a handful of femme/femme pairings and only one or two stories involving butch/butch couples. There are a few stories involving long term couples, and quite a few instances of strangers meeting and hooking up. I don't think there's any anal play (which I might not have noticed except that the intro mentions this), but there is some spanking. Several stories involve threesomes. There's also a fair amount of toy play, almost exclusively in the form of strap-ons (almost always worn by butch women who are packing, but sometimes not). There are a couple of stories that feature black women, but that's the only mention of race or ethnicity. Many of the stories feature young women, and take place in cities. But there are a few that feature middle-aged women, and some that take place in small towns or rural environments.
On the scale of edgy vs. sweet, these stories run the gamut. There are stories that involve edgy and/or kinky sex, and some that feature D/s relationships. There are also stories that are sweet and romantic. There are still others that are raw and erotic without being either sweet or edgy. 261 pages.
